“The strongest tree bends in the wind.”

“If you’re going to be a bear, be a grizzly.”

Yesterday, I had a plan, and then life punched me in the face. Yet, today I am grateful for that right hook. Because I see it was not a punch. It was a feint. And whether it lands like a punch is in my ambit. I define the severity of what life throws my way.

“The bad news is you’re falling through the air, nothing to hang on to, no parachute. The good news is there’s no ground.” – Trungpa

Feel the air between your fingers as you fall. Feel the wind on your face. Bend with it; flow with it. If you fight the fall, it will break you. Which is stupid, because there is no ground. Move with the fall. Control its shape.

Don’t punch back when life punches. Smile and say “thank you!”
